America is Hungry
According to the Census Bureau of 2011, "America has hit the highest number in 52 years of now having 42.6 million people living in poverty." America is struggling in a recession that is forcing it's citizens to choose between their basic necessities such as rent, utilities, medical care, and food each month. When these people are able to buy food, they are limited to what they can buy. Healthy food tends to be more expensive, thus resulting in them having to purchase the cheaper, unhealthy food. My goal is to help poverty-stricken people have easier access to healthier food options, and to encourage food donors to give healthy, whole foods to those in need.
